How long will a timber frame house last?
It all depends on the foundation and the roof, similar to a traditional home. However, timber frame houses do tend to last longer. Just look at the European examples of timber frame houses lasting hundreds and even thousands of years.
Does it take longer to build a timber frame house?
No. At worst, the timeline is very similar to a traditional build, but at best, a timber frame house could be finished much quicker. The frame goes up quickly, but the finishing work determines the end time.
